Deangate turns Meangate

Fantastic turnout by Kent Canicross at Deangate last month....I think we rather took over the event!

We certainly had a warm welcome from the organisers and friendly marshalls and the race briefing has to be the most amusing yet with the briefer using improvised sign language to get himself 'heard' above the noise of our excited hounds.

We were sorry we couldn't stay to see everyone across the finish line but we had to get home to a lonely Bindy who missed out on the run due to my swollen ankle. Those that did finish while we were still there though all came back with smiling faces and happy hounds.

It was a nice touch that the dogs got a medal too.Well deserved I might add, they all behaved themselves beautifully, even the excitable youngster, Sully.

Congratulations to the first canicrossers over the line......Saskia and Ava (above) for the short route and Baz and Marley (below) for the Long route. Well done!
